Maria del Carmen Triana-Escobar, APRN, FNP-BC was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. She attended The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2002. Upon graduating, she started her nursing career specializing in Labor & Delivery. For 15 years, she worked closely with expectant mothers, newborns and their families. In 2015, she completed her Master’s Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Maria is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation. Maria is bilingual in both English and Spanish. Prior to joining 1960 Physician Associates, she worked at Weekare Pediatrics, Sunshine Pediatrics and Octain Family Practice where she discovered a true devotion to providing an extraordinary level of compassion and vigilance for health promotion of children and adults. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and living out her passion for long distance running one mile at a time!
